Flames Reignited - Chapter 4

After revealing the truth to Alex, I went to bed in tears while he stormed out of the room. But it seems that I wasn't meant to have a peaceful sleep. I woke up late at night as I felt something touched the side of my face. I opened my eyes and saw Alex's face looking back at me. But something didn't feel right.

"What is going on?" I looked at him in confusion.

"William...I've missed you so much...and after all these years...I still love you..." Alex said to me.

"Alex...you're drunk." I said after smelling alcohol on his breath.

"No...I'm not drunk...and I'll prove it to you..." He said determinedly. I tried to move my arms but they were restrained by his hand while the other slowly unbuttoned me.

"Alex sto-" I tried to object but was silenced by his kiss as he ravaged my lips. Slowly he planted kisses as he moved his way downwards. I tried to fight back but my strength was no match to his. Then, I felt a jolt of pleasure as he teased and sucked at my nipples. I cried tears as this was not what I wanted. Finally I screamed to stop as I don't want this to go any further. That seemed to got him to his senses as he jolted up and stared at me bewildered.

"No...no...what have I done!?" Alex was shocked as he realised what happened and he retreated from me.

"Alex...no..." I called and reached out my hand to him.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!" He shouted and swatted my hand away as he tried to get up. He stumbled onto the floor instead as he have not regained his balance. I slowly got out of bed. Alex retreated further until his back was against a corner of the room. I knelt down in front of him, sobbing.

"Alex, you're drunk. This is not your fault." I stroked the side of his face.

"No...no...I've done something terrible to you." he sobbed.

"It's alright...Alex." I held him close and kissed him on the forehead.

"I've missed you so, so much." He hugged me tightly.

"I know, I've read the letters." I sat down next to him. Tears were forming on my eyes.

"Please, don't leave me again." He held onto me tightly while crying.

" I won't Alex...because I love you too." I kissed him on the lips.

"Let's get you cleaned up and rest. Okay?" I asked as I got up.

"Okay." He nodded his head and gave me his hand to help pull him out. I helped him out of his clothes, bathed him and gave him a pair of his underwear to change after I have helped him dry up. I then slowly guided him onto the bed and slept next to him.

All the while his hands holding onto mine. I looked at the peaceful sleeping face of my lover. Thinking to myself if I should give us another try. Before I slowly drifted off to sleep for the night.
